Save the Shoes!

Recently, I watched a Ted Talk given by Mark Bezos- a volunteer firefighter...this made me think about the amazing acts of people standing up for each other everyday at CW.Whether it is when a student stops to help another student pick up her dropped belongings or when a teacher sees a student having a bad day and invites them to share what is going on...I am proud to be surrounded by so many heroes. 

I would ask that take 4 minutes out of your day to watch and then spend some time reflecting on this video.  Its message is for everyone…students, staff, parents and our community.  Every day we hear about people doing wonderful and great things in this world…but we don’t often hear about the everyday heroes that Mark Bezos talks about in this video clip.  Our challenge for us at CW is to be a hero to someone everyday…we have the unbelievable power to impact someone’s life every morning.  Maybe it is just a smile to someone or a simple hello…just remember it is not too late to go get those shoes!
